We'll have adoptable pets available inside the Petsmart in Weatherford from 11am until 2pm. You'll find us by the training department.

Adoption Event - August 28
Only one adoption today, but Comet (now named Parker) had been waiting over a month and everyone was happy to see him find his forever home.
Adoption Event - August 21
We had a great day at the Weatherford Petsmart adoption event, finding homes for 5 pets. Below are three who were adopted!
2nd Annual Hot Dog Trot
Our major fundraiser is the Hot Dog Trot and this year's event was another success. Read all about it here.
Adoption Event - August 7
We finalized the adoption of Chevy, one of our foster dogs. We're pleased to have found her a forever home and hope to have more adoptions soon.
Adoption Event - July 31
Scooter, a chihuahua mix, and Arthur, a schnauzer were adopted today! Our thanks to everyone who makes these events possible.

Two shelter dogs (Champ and Payton) and two foster pets (Levi and Josie) were adopted!

We had a great day at Petsmart in Weatherford, with many visitors for our adoptable pets. Five pets found their new families!
Adoption Event - July 3
Our thanks to the staff at Big Lots! in Weatherford for setting us up indoors to show off some of our foster dogs and raise money for our programs. We had several families interested in our pets and hope to finalize adoptions soon.

In a generous gesture, Mitchell and Evan Siegal, along with Cory Churchill of Frank Kent Motor Company, provided the Weatherford/Parker County Animal Shelter with a mobile adoption unit in 2006.
Thanks to volunteers, we've been able to take the unit out to many of the local businesses in the Weatherford area. These events make the pet adoptions more accessible to the public and increase awareness of the many wonderful companions that can be found at the shelter.
We adopted 60 pets at our adoption events in 2007. We adopted 85 at adoption events in 2008, plus several more directly from our foster homes.We adopted 119 pets from our mobile adoptions in 2009, and have already adopted 85 at our adoption events in 2010 (through July 17).
