Mobile Adoption - June 20
We brought our foster pets to Petsmart for an indoor adoption event and found homes for 6 of the dogs. Our thanks to the staff at Petsmart for making room for us indoors and out of the heat, and to all who visited our pets.
Mobile Adoption - May 30
Jerry's Chevrolet and Nissan invited us to their Customer Appreciation Days events and helped us find homes for 15 pets. They also had some brave souls in the dunking booth to help us raise money. The water looked good until I found out there had been ice added! But thanks, guys, it really helped us a lot.

Lola (left) and Cody (right) had been in foster homes after their stay at the shelter, while Rex (center) was still waiting at the shelter. Because several foster dogs were adopted, the volunteers could take more home from the shelter.

In a generous gesture, Mitchell and Evan Siegal, along with Cory Churchill of Frank Kent Motor Company, provided the Weatherford/Parker County Animal Shelter with a mobile adoption unit in 2006.
Thanks to volunteers, we've been able to take the unit out to many of the local businesses in the Weatherford area. These events make the pet adoptions more accessible to the public and increase awareness of the many wonderful companions that can be found at the shelter.
We adopted 60 pets at our adoption events in 2007. We adopted 85 at adoption events in 2008, plus several more directly from our foster homes.We've adopted 75 pets from our mobile adoptions in 2009 (through June 20).
