Foster Updates

Some of our volunteers take pets home from the shelter to give them more time to find a permanent home. We found homes for 7 fostered pets in January and took home 5 more (including a mom with newborn pups).

Here are some of our foster pets who are available for adoption now with links to their Petfinder pages:

Lillie Doodle Bandit
Julep Shelly Tilly

Help! The shelter uses a lot of towels this time of year and would gladly accept your used towels. They put one on each bed daily during the cold weather (there's often 100 pets at the shelter) and also use them for surgery recovery, so that's a lot of towels being used. You may drop them off at the shelter during business hours. Thank you!

Interested in volunteering with us? We'd love to have your help. Our volunteer page has more information, or email me at barb@parkerpaws.org.

Join us on Twitter and Facebook and share with your friends, it'll help get more homeless pets adopted!

$5 Fixit

We're happy to once again participate in the national Spay Day USA campaign. This year we're offering 25 feline spay/neuters for $5 to low-income residents of Parker County. You may download an application from the home page of our website, or pick up an application at the Weatherford/Parker County Animal Shelter at 403 Hickory Lane in Weatherford. Please share this with others who may be in need of this service.

February Adoption Events

We'll be at the Weatherford Petsmart each Saturday in February from 10am until 2pm. Please stop by, the pets enjoy the attention. Because the shelter is not open on Saturdays right now, we will have adoptable pets at Petsmart each Saturday to help those who are unable to get to the shelter during the week.

Maggie
Maggie was adopted at one of our recent adoption events at Petsmart.

Animal Rescue Site Contest

Vote for shelter pets daily at the Animal Rescue Site. The first time you vote for the shelter, you'll need to perform a search for Weatherford, Texas and select the shelter, but after that it'll provide it for you. Be sure to confirm your vote, and vote daily.

Meet Max and Oscar

Max and Oscar are the latest to share their happy endings with us. Read about them on our Happy Tales page.

Have a great month!
