Fostering
with Parker Paws Our volunteers took in 3 more dogs to
foster from the shelter in February, and we adopted out 5 from our
foster homes.
Here are two of our adoptable foster dogs, Pepper and Katy, with
links to their Petfinder pages:
One aspect of fostering is taking in pregnant and nursing pets.
As Spring approaches, there will be more pregnant pets being brought
to the shelter who will be in need of fostering. If you're
interested in helping them, please let us know.

More
Helping Hands Several new volunteers joined us at our
adoption event this month. With so many enthusiastic volunteers it
makes it easier to increase our adoption events to two per month and
help find homes for more pets. We're already off to a great start
this year!
We love our supporters! Please share this newsletter with your
friends.

Mobile
Adoptions
We had another successful adoption event at PetSmart on February
14, finding homes for 9 pets from the shelter.
 Lance
and Stella are two lucky Valentine's.
Upcoming
Events
We'll have the mobile adoption trailer at Merritt's Feed in
Weatherford on March 7 and at the Weatherford PetSmart on March 21.
On April 4 we'll be in Aledo at an adoption event sponsored by Fido
& Friends. We'd love to have you stop by and visit, and please
tell your friends.
Neuter
Scooter for a Nickel
We're happy to report our first participation in support of
national Spay Day USA. On February 25, Parker Paws provided nickel
neuters for 10 male cats for low-income resident of Parker County.
This was our first low-cost spay/neuter program, and we hope to
follow with more programs this year. |
