Animal Rescue Site Contest
Please vote for our shelter pets at the Animal Rescue Site. You may vote daily, the contest ends April 18. The first time you vote for the shelter, you'll need to perform a search for Weatherford, Texas and select the shelter, but after that it'll provide it for you. Be sure to confirm your vote.
Foster Updates
Some of our volunteers take pets home from the shelter to give them more time to find a permanent home. We found homes for 5 fostered pets in March and took in 7 more.

Adoption Events
We held three adoption events at Petsmart in March, finding homes for 8 pets. Pictured above is Rosie, who's now in foster care to give her enough time to find just the right home. We'll be busy again in April, with an adoption event at the First Monday Grounds in Weatherford on April 3 from 9am until 1pm; at the Weatherford Petsmart on April 17 from noon until 3pm, and at Walgreens on South Main in Weatherford on April 24 from noon until 3pm. Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic
In honor of Be Kind to Animals Week (May 2-8), we will host a low-cost spay/neuter clinic at the Weatherford/Parker County Animal Shelter on May 10. It will be by appointment only. You may call 940-566-5551 for additional information and scheduling. Please spread the word to your family and friends. It's a great opportunity to avoid adding to the unwanted pets.
Hot Dog Trot 2010
We're in the planning stage of our second annual Hot Dot Trot which will be held on August 14 at Hall Middle School in Weatherford. If you can help us with sponsors and/or vendors, please contact us. We've got fun ways for you to promote your business or otherwise help us with this event. It's going to be even better with more activities for everyone.
