Frequently Asked Questions

I NEED TO SURRENDER MY DOG/CAT. CAN YOU HELP?
We want you to be able to keep your animal in your home and will first try to help you find alternatives to surrendering your pet, whether there are behavior issues, medical needs, or something else. Think about the possibility of rehoming with family, friends or coworkers. Please remember we receive numerous requests on a daily basis from people wishing to surrender their animals. If all solutions are exhausted, we may be able to help if:
1. we have an open, available foster home.
2. the animal passes our assessment protocol.
3. the animal has no history of aggression.
If your pet is relinquished to us, you will be asked to fill out a surrender form and sign a legal release of ownership. A donation to Parker Paws is greatly appreciated to help with the cost of food and medical for your pet.

I FOUND A STRAY DOG/CAT. CAN YOU HELP?
If you find a stray animal, we suggest you try to locate the owner by putting up signs, notify the local shelter and local vets in your area and take it to a vet or PetSmart to scan for a microchip. You can also post on our FB Lost and Found Page and Nextdoor.com. As we have no facility, we cannot take in any stray animals.
